I like creating, making and giving gifts to family and friends for the holidays.

My favorite gifts are designed with components that are and objects from nature. When designing these gifts, the goal is to bring large scaled nature  into the indoors to be enjoyed on a table or desk-top in the home or office.

Search your garage, shed, rummage sales and thrift shops for found objects like candles, containers, pots and trays. Look around your yard or big box hardware stores for low growing groundcover plants like ivy, moss and sedums. Choose a theme – then find  plants, rocks, sand and wood  that fit the story.

Give a bit of nature this holiday season. Natural gifts are beautiful, calming, interactive and  most of all enjoyed by the recipient.
